Landing page headline: Capture customer attention

A headline in the retail business is a trigger, a trigger, an activator, and a magnet for attracting attention. It is the title that draws the customer to your ad or landing page. It is known that 80% of people read headlines and only 20% read the entire text. The Step Link Platform Inc team will tell you how to make headlines that attract customers and sell for you.

Use numbers
Headlines that contain numbers are 30% more clickable than regular ones. Take, for example, the title of Stephen Covey's famous book: ‘The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.’ On a landing page, the headline might look like this: ‘5-in-1 Video Recorder.’
Negative headlines work better
Headlines with negative wording have a 30% higher conversion rate than neutral ones and a 59% higher conversion rate than positive ones.
‘The best GPS navigator for cars’ is a typical, even slightly boring headline.
But what if you write: ‘How to protect your car from theft?’ This question concerns almost every car owner and immediately attracts attention.
Experts at the Step Link dropshipping platform claim that people respond better to things that help them solve a problem.

Use a subtitle
A subtitle explains the main title and emphasises the main benefit of the product. Let's look at some examples. Main title: ‘Orthopaedic pillow’; subtitle: ‘With head and neck support’. Or, main title: ‘Perfect hairstyle in 5 minutes’; subtitle: ‘Wireless auto-styler for curls’.
Clarity and benefit
The title should be clear and beneficial to the customer. If it is difficult to describe the problem, focus on the benefit, advise Step Link experts. Write in the title what the customer will get by making a purchase. Here is an example. Problem: ‘Tired of freezing in winter?’ Benefit: ‘An ultra-warm jacket that will keep you warm even in 30 degrees below zero.’

Length, colour and font
Use contrasting colours for headlines so that they stand out from other parts of the landing page or advertisement. But avoid acidic colours, such as bright green or pink. The headline should be written in a simple font. It is important that people can easily read the title at first glance. Do not use complex fonts and characters.
The title should consist of five to nine words. Headings that are too long are difficult to comprehend. It is best if the heading fits into two lines. Short and clear headings are read faster and are more memorable.
So, we have learned how to write titles. But how do you create a landing page that really sells? We wrote about this in one of our previous publications on the Step Link Platform website. You can read it here.
